Land and property records in France
Records come from the Cadastre & Service de la publicité foncière.
France keeps two linked records: the cadastre (parcels, run by the DGFiP) and the Service de la publicité foncière (ownership and charges). A foreign requester can obtain both.

Access: Access is open — France is one of the more transparent EU registers. No local agent is required for the cadastre; the état hypothécaire is requested from the SPF for the department where the property sits.
